The Renovation of the former District Court in Zlín

The Bachelor´s thesis is about the restoration and new use of the District Court in Zlín. The building hasn´t been using for a long time. Therefore, the aim of this work is to find a suitable architectural design which meets the requirements for a new use. This is a guesthouse with restaurant, brewery, spa services, and a small gym. Due to the extensive damage of annex from the north side, the object of the District Court and the newer annex are retained. But the annex will be reduced, two storeys will be demolished because of unstable ground and poor quality of roof insulation. Reconstruction will be favorable to architecture of Zlín. There is new sheathing by facing bricks. The facade of the District Court building is preserved, it has pastel colors.

The District court in Hradec Králové and its judiciary practice during the era of the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1938)

This diploma thesis attends to activities of the District Court in Hradec Králové in the period 1918 - 1938 with the incorporation in the context of the overall development of the judicial organization in the Czech lands and also historical evolution of the Hradec Králové region. The opening part deals with the First Republic's judiciary and legislature, as formed from the 19th century. After that follows an overview of organizational development judicial administration in the Czech lands in the era 1848 - 1938 and section devoted to history of the Hradec Králové region. The second part of this thesis is concretely aimed at scope of the District Court in Hradec Králové in the interwar period, in the process of the action in court, in the structure of the court, domains and distribution of judicial work with an analysis of the model cases. The opinions of law enforcement authorities to institute of the probation and mediation service in the Czech legal system

This thesis is concentrated on the detection and evaluation of views and experience of the institutions active in criminal procedure, namely the representatives of district courts, district prosecutions, municipal police departments of the Czech Republic and the Penitentiary of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it deals with the position of the Probation and Mediation Service in the Czech legal system and its integration into criminal justice system. This domain is examined under three defined indicators: abbreviation of procedure, decrease of prison population and the impact of the social work implementation in justice on the offender resocialization. The investigated area was selected on the basis of study practices executed in the Probation and Mediation Service departments in Jablonec na Nisou and in Liberec, in the Prison Rýnovice and also partly by reading of expert essays, in which the results of researches concentrated on these areas are evaluated very contrarily. To achieve the objectives of the study was used a case study on probation centers in Jablonec nad Nisou and Liberec, the results were compared with a nationwide questionnaire survey.

Court execution by sale of movables

The subject matter of this thesis is a Court execution by sale of movables which can be considered as one of the possible variants of the execution process that assign a payment of the pecuniary debt.
In the theoretical part, there is a description of the current legislation, prerequisites for execution, the course of proceeding and the statistical evaluation of execution in the district of Jičín.
In the practical part, there is focus on a concrete execution by sale of movables in conditions of the Czech Republic.

Financial statements of the District court in Jindřichův Hradec

The financial statement is a last activity of accounting work which an accounting unit have to draw up after some period of time. The district court belongs to budget organizations. An effect of this fact are some differences in statements. In theoretical part of work is uncluttered summary of the important informations about the financial statement and in practical part is interesting comparation between the financial statement of the budget organization and the financial statement of businessmen, its accounting, tax and legal aspects.

Defence and protection of halls of justice against terrorist attacks

Summary Critical infrastructure is a new concept in protection of the state, people{\crq}s lives, health and property. This policy is being developed at EU level as well as in the Czech Republic. One of the most significant threats for critical infrastructure is terrorism. In the first part I describe the history of terrorism, its manifestations, strategy and tactics and also the weapons used in terrorist attacks. I give the reasons for protection of district court-houses as part of critical infrastructure. In the next part I examine measures taken to protect and guard the buildings of district court-houses against particular terrorist attacks. Based on these findings I then evaluate the readiness of these buildings in case of possible attacks. I conclude by offering possible solutions to improve security and protection of these buildings.
